Hey I was curious if there is a way to change the harmony.xml so when you press F5-F8 it would open plugin or application(netflix, Hulu, Firefox, eyetv)....

Thanks

Yes there is!

In short, the easiest way to go about this is to tag your destination (e.g., app or even option w/in an app) as a favorite, then go into the favorites.xml file, copy the location, and then paste that location into your harmony.xml file.

For example, I have mine set up for Hulu like this: <F10>Plex.ActivateWindow(videofiles,Hulu,return)</F10>
Better yet, I have a key set up to go to my list of stations for pandora: <F8>Plex.ActivateWindow(10501,plex://localhost/music/pandora/stations^USERNAME||Your Stations/,return)</F8>

So, here is how to do it:
1. In Plex, navigate to where you want to key to take you to.
2. Assuming you are using a Harmony remote (mine is a 550), press Menu
3. In the pop-up menu that appears, choose "Add to Favorites"
4. Go to the favorites.xml file in USER -> Library -> Application Support -> Plex -> userdata
5. Open that file and copy the string which starts with the word "ActivateWindow" for the favorite you tagged
6. Open the harmony.xml file (...app support -> Plex -> Keymaps) and drop in the string with your fkey
[note: when I drop the command into the harmony.xml file, I add "Plex." before the activate window command. You do not need to do this]

Nevermind.....
I got it working!!

One more question with the remote.
Is there any way I can make it so when I press an activity it press F1-F12 then turns everything else on? That way my application comes up automatically.

In the Harmony software, you can tell it to send extra signals, and set the order of the signals to send.
